There is a song that says "I Love Paris in the Springtime." I am not ready to say I love Paris, but it was fun. Well we found out that Paris can be great at this time of year.
I have a husband who is a travel bug. I like to travel, but not as often as he does. Whenever he is going to be off school and not teaching over a holiday he is looking for a place to go. With our daughter working for the airlines we are able to fly free which facilitates our traveling.
We just had Spring Break so you guessed it, he decided we were going to fly to Paris, France, since we couldn't get flights to places like Hawaii, with it being spring break and most people go to warm places on their break. We left on a Sunday night and got back on Wednesday night. We spent just a couple days there. For me it was too long of a flight for being there for such a short time, 9 1/2 hours there and 10 1/2 back, but we did get 1st class coming home so it wasn't quite so bad.

Here are a few pictures from our getaway there.
Monty on balcony of our hotel
Our hotel was a block from the Eiffel Tower
The Eiffel Tower is huge. We walked up the stairs of it.
Some romance in Paris
Great views from up there on the tower!
Pretty flowers planted and growing in Paris
This is the boat that we rode down the Seine River.
One of the bridges you go under while riding down the Seine River on the boat.
You can get on and off the boat at the different sights for the whole day with the pass you buy.
This is the Notre-Dame Cathedral
This is Jesus and the 12 Apostles on the outside of Notre Dame.
Stained glass windows inside.
This is the Louvre.
It was closed on the day we were there so we just walked around outside. Luckily we had been inside before, but it would have been great to go in again and see all the art. We at least got to see the pyramid outside that wasn't there the last time we came.
This is the Champs Elysees, a long street that runs into the L'Arc de Triomphe.
This is the famous shopping street with major stores. We didn't do any shopping though. We did walk down this long street and ate lunch at McDonalds there. I was tired from all the walking.
This is looking from the L'Arc de Triomphe back down the street to show you how long it is.
There were stores like Louis Vuitton and Hugo Boss. I took this for Traci. She would love to shop on this street.

April,
Love your blog! Thank you for the pictures of your trip to Paris! Roxana and I will view them together shortly. I also love your PlayList. I have to say there's not a song on the list I don't like, and it was cool that song 32 came up first, but I liked them all.

Wow, what a fun trip. It would be nice to be able to get away like that. Sigh...maybe some day.
I am way impressed with all the pictures you took. I guess I am more impressed that you took your camera. Way to go. Looks like you have a lot of fun, you crazy travelers, you. Love ya, Kallee
